Windmill Village Hotel, Golf & Spa

I recently used the gym, swimming pool, steam room, and sauna at Windmill Village, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The gym is well-equipped. There’s nothing quite like finishing a workout and heading straight into the sauna and steam room.The whole area was clean and peacefully quiet.

PROS: *The restaurant staff and food was great! We had a couple of delays with meals during our stay but the restaurant supervisor/manager lady spotted it without us even saying anything. *The best hotel gym I've ever been to. Full of a variety of equipment for different styles of training. *Perfect location. Rooms were clean. Stunning view of the golf course from our window. Hotel reception also extremely professional and helpful. *The ladies doing treatments were all fantastic, even had a wonderful chat with a couple of them. All deserve a raise! CONS: * The changing rooms are grimy and in desperate need of a full refurbishment, especially the showers! NOTE TO HEAD MANAGEMENT: The spa treatment booking system needs an upgrade. We had a few issues with miscommunication with the spa staff over booking times & dates. And we would get told different things by different team members. I don't fault the staff, it seemed the booking system used it what confuses everyone.

This is the first time we have stayed at the Windmill Village Hotel. I had suffered two bereavements my Mother and Aunty within months so coming for the New Year's Eve Gala was the tonic I needed. The hotel was beautiful and had lovely views of the golf course and lake. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner which we really enjoyed. The 4 course Dinner & Gala was amazing and entertainment was good. We highly recommend staying at this hotel. We will definitely be booking to stay again.

Had a spa package for me and my daughter including scalp and neck massage. I'm going to say that it was the best massage I have ever had, Joanna was fantastic. Service is great, incredibly friendly staff. Facilities are clean and accessible, steam room is quality. Wished the pool was a tad warmer but all in all great value for money and am definitely going back!!

Good location on the A45, nice gym (unfortunately no rowing machknes though) and pool area. Lovely breakfast, stayed for 2 night and had buffet style one day and table service another day, both were great, the poached eggs were lovely but the sausages were not the greatest. Staff were excellent through put the hotel

Great location and parking for Birmingham Airport. Room had very thin walls and we could hear the conversation between the guests in the next room. Very poor sleep as the dog with the guests in the room next door barked through the night. Perhaps don’t allow dogs in the rooms with very poor sound insulation. Service was good throughout.

The biggest compliment I want to pay is to the customer service. Every single person who I came into contact with gave exceptional service. The hotel was clean, room, bed and bathroom great. The gym is well equipped and the breakfast great. Pretty sure it’s not the most relaxing choice if you are hoping for a spa experience but we were there as part of doing Hyrox at the NEC. All I would say is that I was glad we did not have one of the rooms by the dual carriageway. Thankfully I asked to be moved and the awesome reception staff helped me out. Staff are a total credit to the hotel.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. All the staff were extremely polite and friendly from start to finish, which really made a difference. The room was spacious, very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. We had dinner at the Loft 18 restaurant and it was a real highlight – the food was outstanding, full of flavour, and the portions were incredibly generous. The waiters were both friendly and very professional. In the morning, we had breakfast in the same restaurant, which has a very elegant atmosphere. Breakfast was a classic English breakfast buffet with a good selection. We also visited the spa, including the pool and sauna. It wasn’t busy at all, the facilities were very good, and once again the staff were welcoming and friendly. Overall, a great experience and we would happily return.
